Whether you are training hard all week or slouched over your desk, your muscles will get tight, knotted and sore. At North Sydney Sports and Chiropractic we offer sports massage and remedial massage to help relieve your pain and improve your mobility.

Remedial massage is a form of soft tissue manipulation, which encourages healing through increased circulation and blood flow to the tissues under stress. This not only helps the healing process but also decreases muscle spasm and pain. Our therapists have been specifically trained to detect and treat these muscles aches and pains.

Our Therapists work alongside our Chiropractor and Exercise Physiologist to ensure the best and most effective outcomes for you.

At North Sydney Sports and Chiropractic our remedial massage therapists offer the following types of massage:

Sports Massage North Sydney

We offer sports massage in North Sydney out of our clinic. Our North Sydney therapists are trained in a variety of remedial techniques including sports massage. Sports massage is a sport specific technique designed to return you to your previous level of activity. This form of muscular pain treatment is based on an understanding of the pressures your body faces in the specific sport you engage in. Sports massage can often be a more rigorous and targeted toward specific areas and deep tissue.
If you have succumbed to injury or suffering from pain associated with your sport we recommended a discussion with one of our therapists regarding your treatment options.

    Initial Consultation Form

    What to expect

On your first visit, you will be required to fill out our Initial Consultation Form. We will require some information about yourself and why you are visiting us i.e. sore back and shoulders etc. We will also ask for some other information which you may feel to be irrelevant, but this will allow our therapists to get a better understanding of your presenting condition. After this step, you will be taken to our private and concealed massage room, where you will be asked to undress (or put on a gown if you feel more comfortable). To help you get into the relaxed state, our therapists will use warm scented towels on your feet. This will melt away all your stress, so we can then begin the massage. During your massage, your therapist will ask for your feedback, so please feel free to let them know at this point if you would like them to change their technique. Once your session has finished and you would like to book in another session with your therapist, you can do so at the front desk. We do offer discounted Pre-pay packages, where you can pay for 5 massages and receive the 6th one free. Check our FAQ's page for more details.
